Job Posting: Food Security HUB Project Co-ordinator

 The Grey Bruce Sustainability Network (GBSusNet) in partnership with the Food Security Action Group (FSAG) has received funding from United Way Bruce Grey to continue earlier work on a regional Food Security Hub Project (FSHub). This job posting is for a Project Co-ordinator who will report to the project Steering Committee and carry out the following tasks.

  • Completion of Final Workplan and Budget specifics;
  • Establish target communities to host “community conversations;”
  • Establish generic “agendas” for local community gatherings;
  • Develop marketing and promotion plan for local events;
  • Co-ordinate the planning and delivery of each local event;
  • Ensure the information and data gathered at each event is recorded;
  • Update the Food Security Asset Map with local information;
  • Assist with the planning of the annual Fall Food Gathering 2019

Consultation Services

Professional Contract Consultant to provide part-time consulting services to support the work of the Food Security Action Group of the Bruce Grey Poverty Task Force. The Consultant will report to the Food Security Hub Steering Committee and work directly with Project Manager, Barry Randall from GBSusNet.

Consultant/Candidate Qualifications

  • A background in food security related issues i.e., food banks, social services, gleaning, food production and distribution
  • Experience in meeting design, facilitation and public consultation;
  • Skills in data management, asset mapping., research and report writing;
  • Communication skills both personal and e-based

Terms of Contract

  • 6 month part-time contract based on $20/hr and 20 hrs/week
    • Hours must be tracked and submitted via time sheet and invoice to GBSusNet bi-weekly;
    • Expenses must fit budget allocation and submitted with time sheet.
  • Candidate must have their own laptop, cell phone, computer and independent office location
