FoodWORKS Walkerton 2012

FoodWORKS 2012 Final Report

FoodWORKS…From Field to Fork

FoodWORKS is a day long series of interactive opportunities for students to experience how our food moves from farmer’s fields to our plates.

Plenary Session – Guest Speaker or Panel Discussion

Workshops – Students will move through 4 X 50-90 minute experiential sites that will demonstrate the various stops along the “food chain” for food that we consume every day. Comparisons will be drawn between foods that are grown locally and exported, foods that we import, how food is prepared, nutritional value, history of food supply in Ontario, and food preparation.
