What’s next after high school? No pressure though!!! Participation in CareerWORKS programs will expose students to a range of skills, jobs, career opportunities and businesses that make up the supply chains of the various CareerWORKS themes.
WaterWORKS, FoodWORKS ; EnergyWORKS ; ClimateWORKS ; EcoWORKS and others!!! are themes being offered during the Grey Bruce school year.

Students examine stream organisms as part of the WaterWORKS program.
WaterWORKS provides interactive, hands-on sessions that expose students to the various stages of the water supply chain…from “source to tap.” Exploring the sources of water in your community, treatment and distribution systems (rural and urban systems), water conservation strategies, uses of potable and non-potable water, waste water treatment systems and careers and jobs in the industry will all be explored.

FoodWORKS takes students on a journey from “field to fork” and from the “farm to the table. Sessions will demonstrate the skills required to manage healthy soil, select seeds, cultivate and plant, harvest, process and distribute and prepare meals in a sustainable food system. Experts from the field will facilitate discussion and interactive demonstrations and tours which will leave students with a clear understanding of options to work on a farm, in a processing facility, in a restaurant or simply at home!
Students enjoy the fruits of their labour as part of any earlier FoodWORKS event.
EnergyWORKS brings to life the supply chain that supports our electricity system, transportation options, agricultural producers, home heating and cooling…essentially our economy and paints a picture of challenges of decreasing oil supply, increasing costs of fuel, climate change and the need to seize opportunities to create jobs that support positive environmental change and a sound economy.
